I am aware that many of you are eagerly awaiting the upcoming release of Wap-2-Go Mobile CMS v0.870 and I would also like to take this opportunity to reassure you all that development is well underway as previously announced. Due to some unfortunate delays - such as my development machine dying; the next version is taking longer than I had hoped to release.
I am now working from a Linux box luckily pulled together from an old machine I found in my loft, so hope to get the release out for you as soon as possible.
So please watch this space and keep an eye on our news for further developments and the release announcement.
I am pleased to announce that we have an all NEW news feed to keep you updated on the very latest news from Wap-2-Go Mobile CMS Website as well as the very latest from the mobile community.
Please subscribe to our news feed at the link below to keep up-to-date with the very latest news:
Please read the project update forum discussion as I am seeking further feedback from users for post v0.870 development, but I do know that many of you have been checking back to see if v0.870 is released.
Version 0.870 Status Update Thread
Apologies for the delay in releasing v0.870, but this is a massive update - in the meantime, please see how development is progressing...
Firstly, my apologies for the delay in further releases, but I would like to reassure all users that Wap-2-Go is due for significant updates in the coming weeks and months.
I have been working on the next release and would like to thank the whole community for your bug reports, comments and requests.
I am not prepared to release at this current time as there is further functionality, fixes and testing to do first.
However, to "whet your appetite" please see the change-log included with this article - as you will see there are significant upgrades, features, improvements and functionality already implemented (just click "Read More" below for full details).
I have received numerous requests from visitors to extend compatibility of Wap-2-Go onto platforms other than PHP-Nuke.
I would like to extend compatibility without slowing development of Wap-2-Go itself as we are reaching some major milestones in development with most, if not all (?) major issues fixed and some large developments coming into place - including user verification and member functionality.
However, in the meantime, please do vote in our new poll to let me know what CMS platforms you would like to see supported.
Please Note: This is mostly a fix for the image caching problems in v0.86 - where users where unable to disable the image caching featuring - resulting in PHP error messages on certain server configurations.
Change-Log:
Wap-2-Go v0.86 Released 7th October 2007
Please Note: If you get image errors, this is due to the image caching feature - please ensure (mobile)/includes/cache directory is writable or disable caching from your Wap-2-Go Control Panel.
Development of Wap-2-Go continues well with further bug-fixes and updates coming your way.
